I read about a DIY filling. I’ve had a cavity that has been bothering me for a couple of days. I don’t have a dentist and wondered if the DIY will really work?

Emily,
While the DIY might be able to fill your tooth, it will not take care of your cavity, unless you’re willing to drill your own tooth as well. Their may be infection that has to be dug out. the infectitoin will continue to spread even if you fill the hole.
I know you don’t have a dentist, but there are dentists who will treat you in a dental emergency, even if you’re not a patient.
Don’t put this off. The infection could spread to your brain. I know it is tempting to wait it out, but dental infections don’t get better on their own.
If you’re a little afraid of the dentist (and that is common, so don’t feel bad) you can ask for sedation dentistry. That way it is sure to be pain free.
