I have a bad toothache and probably need to see a dentist. The only thing I’m concerned about is I’ve had juvaderm injected. They say not to put pressure on them or move them for a couple of weeks. Should I wait to see the dentist?

Lillian,
If you have a toothache, that is a dental emergency and you need to be seen, at least to eliminate the possibility of a serious infection. Your dentist can do a quick exam and x-ray without messing with your fillers. I wouldn’t put this off. Just be sure to tell him you’ve got new filler injections and he’ll be careful to avoid the area.
Now, if this were just an elective check up, instead of a dental emergency, I might be inclined to say you could put off the check up for a couple of weeks. But, that would only be to give you peace of mind. Not because I thought it would be necessary.
