I don’t know what happened. I’ve never been scared of the dentist before I had this nightmare. Ever since then, I’ve been having the nightmare every single night. Now I can’t even think about going to him. It’s a disaster. I’ve tried going to a therapist, but that didn’t help. I don’t really have time to work on it, because I have a toothache that needs to be dealt with. Help!

Rachael,
I wonder if your dream was your bodies way of letting you know you needed to see your dentist? It’s amazing how much our subconcious picks up that our volitional mind does not. I do realize speculation does you no good, but I couldn’t help but wonder.
Your toothache definitely needs your attention. You don’t want that to spread or you will be living a real nightmare then. There is a solution that will not require years of expensive therapy.
Talk to your dentist about sedation dentistry. Depending on what type of sedation you choose, you can go to the dentist, have your appointment, and not remember a thing.
