What is Boost Whitening?
Like Zoom Whitening, Boost is done at the dentist’s office with dramatic results. The biggest difference is the activation of the whitening gel. With Zoom, special lights are placed over the teeth to activate the gel. Those can get rather hot and some patients find the Zoom procedure uncomfortable.
Boost Whitening, by Opulescence is chemically activated, so there is no need for the hot lights. Boost also contains both fluoride and potassium nitrate, which gives it a couple of additional benefits. Fluoride helps prevent cavities, while strengthening your tooth enamel. Potassium nitrate helps reduce tooth sensitivity.
Boost Whitening Procedure
Boost is easy to place. Dr. Embury will use a gentle brush, that is specially designed for the whitening gel, to apply the gel to your teeth. The chemicals in the gel activate the whitening ingredients. You’ll relax in our office for a twenty minute session.
During that time, you’ll have access to our spa amenities, such as warm blankets and towels, noise canceling headphones for music, or you may watch a movie or television program on one of our flat-screen TVs. Then you’ll have a second application placed and relax during a second twenty minute session. In about an hour, you’ll have gorgeous, white teeth.
